ON THE AIR
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24th. A hew series of AY.E.A. talk commences at IYA this evening, the speaker being the Rev. ,W. G. ■Vtonckton, AI.A. Airs. Gordon Robertson will be the lecturer on the evening’s International Programme, the subject of her talk being; ‘'-Music—a National and International Art.” The 2YA Studio Concert will he °t the popular type. The Salon Orchestra will play the overture ‘‘Mireille,” “Jeyington Suite,” “Chanson Indoue,” ‘“Minuet” (Trunl). TCoppelia Ballet Music,” and the latest dance novelties. The. major portion of the vocal items will be given by the Afelodie Four. Also on this programme will he Airs. Chimes Pehgellv (contralto), a newcomer to 2YA. A Scottish concert to commemorate St. Andrew’s Day will he broadcast by 4YA. Air. AY. B. AlcEwan, Librarian at Dunedin Public Library, will give a talk about Scotland’s Patron Sami. The Highland Pipe Band will play. Scottish songs will be-sung by the R.egal Tour, m solo, duet and quartette form. Addji tionnl instrumental numbers will he contributed by Aliss Eva Judd (violiniste).
