SILVER CURRENCY, PROPOSED WORLD-WIDE - ADOPTION.ECONOMISTS STATE DEPRESSION WOULD END. U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright.) LONDON, Nog. 17.

Sir Robert Horne, as chairman of the Silver-Association, urges consideration of the . suggestion that the Government, with thesiippor-t of the Dominions, should convene, or agree to participate in an (international conference on .silver with a view to its reintroduction . in the - world’s monetary, system. y A complete international- agreement, perhaps, at present would be impossible, ‘says Sir Robert H-orne, but nothing is more likely to) assist, it than an agreement between the Empire and the United States, with the co-operation of France. It is the opinion of. the Silver Association that if as a result ot such an agreement silver were reintroduced as the world’s monetary system the present depression would end. • STOCK AND SHARE MARKETS.
