MISHAP AT SEA
WAIKAWA’S BOATSWAIN BADLY INJURED,
FIVE DAYS’ AGONY BEFORE REACHING PORT.
SYDNEY,. August 18. Mr. F. Ruv, boatswain of the Waikawa, suffered agony for five days after lie was injured during the voyage from New Zealand.. The vessel, which arrived hero three days overdue, is without a doctor. Ray’s shoulder and leg were badly crushed when a roll of ’ newsprint fell on him. Ho was admitted to hospital imediately thq ship berthed. ’ - - -
