WELLINGTON, Aug. 18. The following further telegram was received b.y the Governor-General last evening from the British Ambassador at Tokio: “The vice-consul, has now returned to Kobe and reports that Mr. Chichester’s eye is bruised, a bono in the right forearm is bruised, one vertebrae between the shoulder blade is causing him some pain, and a wound in the thigh is healing. The doctors contemplate his complete recovery ill three weeks. “Mr. Chichester told the viceconsul that he was very comfortable and did not wish to be moved, and the doctors apparently do not now think it necessary.”
