General Situation
A cyclone is now centred east of East Capo and lias deepened. A still further moderate anti-cyclone is moving on to the Dominin. Forecast Winds: Southeast to southerly north of and Akaroa, strong to ratio forco in places, hut shortly deTreasing and variable-in the southern districts, with northerlicg prevailing' Seas (New Zealand waters): Still rough to heavy in and north of Uook Strait, but, later moderating; «lse_ where moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Modoralo southerly winds; later becoming variable; seas, moderating. Weather: Cloudy to overcast about and north of Cook Strait, with further rain; some heavy falls between Capo Pallisef ' and Bust Cape, but, , elsewhere, scattered showers only ancl improving gradually from the? westward; fair to fine over most pi the South Island; temperatures cold.
