DRAPERS AT AUCKLAND

Thi» announcement that a reduction ot 10, per cent, in the wages and salaries is to be made by the (.napers, clothiers and boot retailers of Christchurch as from Monday nextthe cut to apply to all members ot their staffs who arc not under awards, is not likely to bo followed in 'Auckland at prisent. Ihe president of the Auckland Drapers, Clothiers and Boot Retailers Association said that liis association as an association had taken no definite action in'the matter and lie thought it was unlikely that the Chnstchurcn decision to reduce wages to ylio •award mini mum would be ip 11 cm ea in Auckland.
