WELLINGTON, Feb. 25, General Situation:
An anti-cyclone is moving across the northern Tasman Sea, but a low pressure wave is crossing the South Island to-day. . ’ Af Forecast:
V\V'iii(l.s: Moderate to strong southwest to westerly winds, veering later To north-west in the south of Cook Strait. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough about Cook aud Foveaux Straits ; elsewhere moderate. Tasman Sea: South-west- to northwest winds in the Eastern Tasman, fresh to strong in the southern portion. with rather rough seas; elsewhere moderate with smooth to moderate seas.
Weather: For the most part fair io fine aud rather milder, but some scattered showers in the western and southern jioriions of tho South Island.
