TOKOMARU BAY NOTES

AQUATIC SPORTS

(Special To The Times). ' Last Saturday proved an ideal day for the aquatic sports, held in the Tokomaru Bay harbor. Though the number of visitors did not compare with last year’s, local competition was very keen. Mr. A. F. Kerr’s Cup, open to bos and girls for most points in the three events, was won by Stan Kerr (6pts), S. Newton (4pts) runney-up. The team’s race, contested between Waima, City and Murphy’s teams, was perhaps” the most exciting race of the day—Messrs. E. Murphy and R.. Jacskon (Waima) fighting for first place for almost fifty yards. The results of the day’s events were as follows:
