MAJESTIC THEATRE
“COHENS AND KELLYS IN SCOTLAND” TODAY
For rollicking humour, few talking pictures equal “The Cohens and Kellys in Scotland.,” which opens at the Majestic theatre at to-day’s matinee. In thrpe previous productions, the rivalry of the Irisli-American and JewishiAmerican families has proved to be a source of unfailing, comedy and in the latest picture the standard of humour has been well maintained. The producers have reunited the original cast and George Sidney, Charlie Murray. Yera Gorden and Kate Price are all cast in the roles which are so wellknown to picture-goers. When the picture opens, the. old partnership has been broken, but both Cohen and, Kelly are bound for Scotland, unknown to each other, to gain a monopoly of the market in Scotch tweeds which they expect will rise in favour as a res\ilt of the lead set by the Prince of Morania, a visiting potentate. Each carries out his deal independently, and it is not until they appear, both dressed in plus-fours, on a golf course that they meet each other. Cohen replenishes his golf balls by putting stray ones in his pocket. Unfortunately for him, one of the balls he thus removes from the course belongs to the Prince of Morania, and. an altercation follows. In view of these and other circumstances. both rivals realise that the work of popularising the tweeds will not he as easy as they had expected. Their efforts to extricate themselves from their deal make many amusing scenes. The supporting , programme comprises “High Jack and the Game” all Talking sporting comedy, an ‘'Oswald the Rabbit” cartoon,' and Universal Talking Gazette. As usual “Tarzan the Tiger” serial, will be screened .additional at the matinee. The box plan is at Tattersa.il ahd Bayly’s.
