JOYCE WETHERED IS GREATEST LIVING GOLFER

Tlie answer which Bobby Jones, winner of the • open and amateur championships of both Great Britain and the Cnited States of America, gave to that question, put to him recently, was "Joyce. Wethered.” Jones., added .that if Joyce Wethered had been bom a-man she —or should the pronoun be ‘‘lie”? —would have ruled the world of golf. .The style, technique, and general (efficiency the English girl is the world’s best player, mail or woman.

Bobby Jones ployed a round of golf with Joyce Wethered at St. Andrews.

"1 could ; not help feeling,” he said, “that I had never played golf with anyone, amateur or professional who made me feel so .utterly* outclassed.
