To consider representations from small shopkeepers that- street lights should be switched on at. certain hours the electricity committee of the city council met yesterday ntternonn. It was resolved that nothing cculd he done yet owing to the serious position that still prevailed in the supply of power. • Professor Hornell, the Swedish engineer, will investigate the Colondgo scheme next week.
