MAJESTIC THEATRE

“CHASING RAINBOWS” __

“Chasing Rainbows” the special Metro-Goidwyn all-singing, . talking and dancing production, with the stars of “Broadwav Melody,” Charles King and Bessie 'Love in the lead, should draw capacity houses to tho Majestic to-day at both matinee and night screenings. “Lucky Me— Lovable You” will find many admirers and “Love Ain’t Nothing But tho Blues” has an air considerably better than its lyric- “Happy Days Are Here Again” is another tuneful number and “Everybody Tap” and “Mv Dynamic Personality” are lilting/ “Happy Days Are Here Again” has a striking setting that will linger long in the memory.' The beautiful ensemble in which it is featured represents something really artistic. Its colours are the colours of the rainbow, and its variety is endless. It engages the activities of a ballet and chorus which appear to comprises hundreds of artists, and must remain one of the most vivid recollections of an entirely enjoyable evening. The players include: Bessie Love, Chas. King, Polly Moran, Marie Dressier, Jack Benny, Nita*'Marfan, Eddie Phillips, Gwen Lee. George Tv. Arthur, arid Youcca Trouhetsky. The comedy work that has been, interpolated all over mo place is excellent. “Chasing Rainbows” can he classed as a joyous type of picture—a film which cannot fc.il to amuse and entertain any audience- In addition to principal fnm, there is a wellselected programme of short subjects, chief of vhich are vocal numbers by the celebrated baritone, Tita. Ruffo, violin so os by Buei Do Kerchjarto, a Charlie Chase all-talking comedy “The Real McCoy” and the Metrotone News Gazette. . Box plan is at Tattersall and Bayly’s.
