Ai AT A AYHERO YARDS. SAIALL ENTRIES YESTERDAY. There were very small entries ill all sections at the Alatawhero yards yesterday, particularly in store slieep. and little interest was evinced. It is possible that this rnay be attributed to the cattle fair having been held this week. Little cornpetition was noticed lor pigs, and many of .the pens were passed in. STORE SHEEP. There was an entry of 1090 store sheep, which were mostly odds and ends, and the sale was not taken very seriously. Lambs went to lls. and ewes sold to 12s. 2-th. ewes making 15s, while empty ewes realised 7s Gd. Prices:— Lambs: 302 medium size, shorn, little condition. 7s 2d: 16 fairly good, woolly (p), 8s 6(1; 30 do.. 7s 7d; G 9 fair size, healthy, 9s 2d: 71 good condition, woolly, 10s 7d: 70 shorn, fair size and condition (p'. 9s; .22 fair size, woolly, Cs 8d : 68 well-grown. shorn wethers (p), 11s: 75 woolly, 8s lid. Ewes: 67 2-th., sound mouths <p). 7s; 45 good mouths and condition (p). 8s Gd; 20 small 2th. (p), Ids ; 35 sound mouths, good order In), 10s; 50 empty, fair condition. 5s 7d; 54 empty, fairly forward, 7s Gd; 26 empty, fair order, 5s 3d. FAT SHEEP The entry of fat sheep totalled 42. Little' interest was taken in the sale. Ewes made from 14s 3d to 15s 3d. and second grade ewes sold from 11s 3d to 11s 7d. Prices: Three ewes (p) 14s ,3d: 2 2-th ewes (p) 15s 3d; 1 ewe, 15s. Second grade-: 12 ewes, 11s 7d. 21 d 0.. 11s 3d ; 3 do., 11s'Gd. PIGS There was an entry of 50 pigs, hut there was little competition from the small attendance of buyers, and nearly all the entries were jiassed in, at the following prices: Five good Berkshire weaners, rather young (p) 4s ; 4 good solid slips (p) 8s ; 2 Tamworth stores, fair sized (p) 8s; 2 Tamworth stores, fair size (p) 12s; 2 do.
