The automatic disqualification o! swimmers who have acted lor a few weeks as beach patrolmen was discussed last evening at a meeting o! the Canterbury centre o'i the Royal Life Saving Society. It was decided to take steps to urge that some modification of the rule be made, as at the present time those who have acted as paid patrolmen have to wait for two years and a ball before they can by restored to amateur status.
