The Communists’ procession in celebration of May Day was a poor affair in Sydney. Crowds of unemployed gathered on the street corners and watched it- pass, but declined invitations to take part. Speeches of a fiery uture were delivered in the Domain. The police- arrested seventeen Communists, who attempted to parade without permission at- Glebe.
