At the Australian tennis championships the semi-final in the men’s singles resulted, in Hopmaii (New South Wales) beating Willard (New South Wales) 6—4. 6—2. 6—G(; Moon (Queensland) beat Crawford (New South Wales) 7—5, 6—4, 4-7—6, 6—3. In the doubles final, Crawford and Hopman beat Hawkes and Fitohett (Victoria) B—6, 6—l, % —6, 6 —3. Tti the women’s singles final, Miss D. Aldiurb (New' South Wales) beat' All’s Harper (Victoria), 10—8, 2—6, 7—6.
