'I O-NJGKTS PROGRAMMES. At IYA this evening a splendid operatic programme will be presented by tile Olympians—Miss Martha \\ illi’masou, Miss I). Youd, Mr LamI <•! L Harvey and Mr Geoffrey Coleridge. Their concerted numbers will include “Pretty Little China Girl - ’ from the popular opera, “Belle of New York,” and the “Miserere S:tiio” from “id Trovatore." The same vocalists will also present a line selection of solos. Following on the great success of “Rigoletto,” another instalment of grand opera, this .time ‘‘Tristan and Isolde’’ will ho presented. Tho plot will ho described by Mr Karl Atkinson.

A light popular prograinmo will be presented by 2YA. the assisting artists, being Mr Charles Wilkie (baril( iici. Mrs N. It. Lightbodv (sou lire tie), and .Mr .Hilly Hart. Mr Hart will be heard in popular songs at the piano and the humour of the evening will lie provided by Mr ten Ashlon. .

•TVA wi.ll.be on the air tip’s evening to carry out a relay of the Timaru Orchestral Society’s concert. An excellent programme has been arranged, soloists being Miss Alary Troll, contralto (of Dunedinl and. Mr AV. 11. Dixon, tenor (of Christchurch).

An excellent programme will be presented by the St. Tvilda. Rand at .|YA. Tho items will include two marches, “Guard, of Honour" and “Tho Evcrtonian." an ■ • intermezzo. “Rendezvous" and fantasia. “Harmonious Blacksmith.'’--a humorous selection ‘.‘Lads, and Lassies,.’.’, and a waltz. “Tho Trumpeter” .. will -,be played as.n. trombone, solo with band arompaniment. The vocalists, will, be Air A. .-J. Parker (tenor) and Miss Agnes Guv ( mezzo-soprano)., while Aliss Sheila, Ncilson and Air ,J. B. A 1 cChniH'll will '-ontribute sketches.
