The Prune Minister, speaking to a vast crowd in Hyde Park, delivered an Empire Day message which was broadcast by wireless throughout Great Britain, and to all parts of the Empire.

J.n an allusion to India, he said: “We all wait with hone and confidence the conclusion of the momentous inquiry now proceeding, with confidence m their determination to find, under Providence,' the true path, in the hope- that their goodwill and public spirit may find a response.in the loyal heart of India. It has more than once happened in our history that the very magnitude of a difficulty has provided an inspiration to surmount it.”
