Saturday’s gigantic successes- will he screened at the Palace again today at a special matinee and tonight also “Beggars of Life” and “The Spotlight” two Paramount specials are the attractions, Wallace Beerv, Louise Brooks and Richard Arlen are the featured players in “Beggars of Life.” Wallace Beery, back to serious, heavy rules, presents one of the greatest fictional characters of all time. As Oldaliama Red, Beery is oce again pictured in a part worthy of his talent. He is the incarnation of the glorious vagabond-, huge, vital, human, an animal with a deep, roaring laugh, rovingthrough the world, beating a living out of life, lustful,'domineering, brutal, sacrificing himself with the same easy smile with which, but a moment previously, he hurled a . man to a violent death. The story deals noth the adventures of a boy and girl, one an outcast, > and the other a fugitive from justice. From out of the unknown flashes a,new name in electric lights on Broad’wav. She was an instant sensation. Toast of the clubs, eagerly sought after, the idol of the town, this famous Russian woman was for all tbit an enigma. No one knew anything about her, and she herself' would never speak of the past. Into her life came love and romance.
