While other parts of Britain wore enjoying brilliant' sunshine the fog in tlie Channel yesterday was .so dense that the Southampton mail and passenger ships were brought to a complete standstill. Several incoming liners were fogbound off the Isle of Wight, and cross-Channel steamers had to drop anchor and wait for several hours. Easter traffic was in consequence cons durably hampered.
