A young seaman belonging to the vessel jumped in and after a struggle managed to make a line fast to her waist. ■ Still screaming that she did not want to he saved, the woman was hoisted to tho Avliarf, and thence taken aboard tho boat. By the.time Auckland was readied she had recovered and was taken home by friends,
