POINCARE’S TAUNT
OmiVfANY’S PROPAGANDA FUND STRESEMANN’S REPLY. United Press Assn. by El. Tel. Copyright (Australian Press Association.) (Received Feb. 3. 11 p.m.) BERLIN, Feb. 2. M. Poincare, in> the course of bis ten-hour speech, taunted Germany with having .a propaganda fund of £4,525,000. Dr. Stvesemann states that the.fund is only £1,075,000. The chief items are: Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ secret service, £300,000; promotion of news services abroad, £120;000; news services at- home, £20,000 ; and of '(humanitarian and cultural relations in foreign countries, £300,000. DA Stresemann argues that the allotted to the Ministry for Occupied Territories could hardly be regarded as propaganda, because, after all, the occupied territories were part of the German Empire, requiring special care.
