Paco Welter..—Bollinger 9.13, 1 ; Lady . Clara 8.5, 2; Hustler 8.7, 3, Eleven started The New Zealander, Boston; was sixth. Time, 1.29 J. Denman. Handicap.—Joy Bird (N'.Z.) 7.7, 1 ; L-oad.light 8.3, 2; 111 enjoy 7.13, 3. Thirteen started. Won by a head; a neck separating second and third. Time, 1.4 J. Joy Bird’s victory came like a bolt- from the blue; it was so unexpected.
