GIRL BANDIT.

CAUGHT BY POLICE

CARD PLAYERS HELD UP AT THE PISTOL POINT.

BOOTY IN HER HAT

NEW YORK Sept. 30

The-yellow-haired girl who set New York laughing over the robbery at a car-cl party,, when she helped her accomplices to empty the pockets, of 8 men, including a policeman, has been captured. She is only seventeen years old and has a certain boyish comeliness. Last night, with her fellow-desper-adoes, she rang the door bell of an apartment where another card party was going on. ’ Instead of the earlier ruse, weeping outside the room. to.get her victims one by one, she made the housekeeper retire at the pistol point into the parlour, where she lined up the players against the wall while her accomplices relieved . them of their valuables and money. After the departure of the bandits the police wore summoned. They commandeered a taxi, and, learning that the girl had taken the tube, arrested her as she emerged from a station.

The £6O worth of plunder from the last robbery was found concealed in her hat. Her fellow-accomplices escaped.
