The Prime Minister, Sir Richard Squires, regards as “entirely absurd” the suggestion thgt any portion of 1 Labrador now under Newfoundland jurisdiction should be transferred to the United States. In reference to a previous report regarding such a sale, he said no one had authority to speak on his fjehalf or for his party, which would organise a new government within a few days.
