- SCOTTISH WATER ROWER. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Nov. 13. A syndicate has been formed to establish an important hydro-electric power scheme, involving a capital of several millions in the, Galloway district of South-West Scotland. An electricity board will control the scheme, which will include five power stations. The River Dee will be the principal waterway to be harnessed, but all the lochs, including Loch Boon and its tributaries, are, according to reports, to tb utilised. It is proposed that the electrical power generated will be carried to the industrial centres, absorbing the existing small organisations.

Replying to a request of the Alberta section of the Canadian Labor Party that the Government shoo abandon the plan to purchase two new destroyers, Commander Hose, Director of" Naval ■ Services, stated that the vessels were, replacements, not additions.
