TOKOMARU BAY ITEMS. (Special to the Times.) TOKOMARU BAY, Nov. 11. On Wednesday evening a euchre party was heltT'in the To Puka Dali, the proceeds Being in aid of the Xmas tree'for the town children. There were about 70 players present and most enjoyable games were played Prizes were won by Mrs. Hanlon (ladies) and Mr. Geo. Hale (gentlemen), the consolation prizes being annexed by Mrs jMcK.ce and Mr P. Collier respectively. Messrs. M L. Holah, D. Walden and W. D. King had control of the evening. On Thursday another euchre party was held in aid of the coming Anglican Church Bazaar. Ten tables were commissioned and a very peasant .evening’s entertainment was-ex-perienced. • Mrs. Hautapu won the ladies’ prize and Mr. ‘Cookery the gentlemen’s. M>ss Metcalf and Mr. H. Newland won the consolation prizes. During the evening .sweets, provided by Mrs. McKee, were handed round. Mr. J. Corbett proved a capable. M.C. v " PERSONAL.
The Key. G. S: and Mrs. Cook, of Otaki, are spending a holiday in the Bay as guests of Mr. and Mrs. S'. G. Yeoman. Mr. A.' 13. W. Bradmoro, Bank of New South Wales. Patea, has arrived in the Bay to take up duties at the local Branch. Mr. L. E. Dodd, who has been rGisborne for, some weeks on sick leave, has arrived hack in the Bay. Mr. H. L. Gray, who lias been relieving at the local office of the Bank of N.S. Wales, has returned to Gisborne. „ . . Mrs. J. Todd and her small daughter and son are at present on a visit to Auckland.
