MOTOR CYCLISTS COLLIDE. TWO RIDERS INJURED. (Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 6. When their machines met at ‘the intersection of Bardadoes and Gloucester streets last evening two motorcyclists were injured- They were Alfred Gordon Wright 23, of Marshland road, and Jack Coventry, 20, of Spreydon. Wright,,who was the more seriously injured, had his left :ann broken, abrasions to tho face, and concussion. He was unconscious when admitted tp hospital, but later recovered. Coventry, who was also unconscious, has an injury to the head, but his condition is not serious. BRILLIANT DENTAL STUDENT’S END DEATH BY MISADVENTURE CPresa Association.* WANGANUI'. Nov. 6. At tho inquest to-day concerning tho death of William Bramwell, a well-known dentist, who was found dead in his surgery last Wednesday night by his partner, evidence was. given that the deceased, a keen and brilliant student, had been experimenting with the effects of different anaesthetics on himself for the writing of a thesis on “Anaesthesia” for the degree of D.D.S. He had had an appointment to go out that evening and apparently filled in time by experimenting alone. The oxygen gave out and deceased was asphyxiated by nitrous oxide gas. A verdict was returned of death by misadventure, the. cause being an overdose of nitrous oxide.
