The Dominion Meteorologist's summary and forecast are, as'follow: — Pressure distribution is still of the westerly'type, a belt of low pressure extending from New Zealand across the Tasman to southern Australia. Moderate to strong west to northwest winds reaching gale force attimes- about- Cook and Foveaux Straits. * Seas rough south of Cape Kgmont and in Foveaux Strait, elsewhere moderate. Fresh westerlywinds and moderate to rather rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather unsettled in western districts with intermittent- rain; other districts mainly fair with some scattered local ,showers. Moderate temperatures.
