LONDON PRODUCE MARKET
The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office by cable under date 3rd inst.:—
“Butter. —The market is slow at 174 s to 130 s; cheese, ' the market _is slow, colored 105 g to 106 s; white 107 s to 108 s. Wethers, trade is slow. Ewes, —It is thought prices have reached bottom. Lambs.—The market is weaker for 2nd quality, Ist. grades remain steady. Beef.—-There is a little better demand. Quotations; wethers, light 6£d to 7d, heavy fid to 6sd; ewes, 44d to sjd; lambs, twos lOd to 101 d, eights lOd to lOjd, fours 9Jd to seconds Bjd to 9d; ox; hinds’ 4}d to 4RI; ox fores-3Jd to 4d; cow hinds 4RI to_ 4-Jd cow fores 3|d to 33d.
