The course now proposed wilt open the doors of tho Scottish banks to a largs new class of depositors, previously barred, unless he were resolute enough to save up picce-meal his first JEI. Tho joint stock banks wi:s thus bj in competition with tho post Gffice savings bank and similar institutions.
