Catain Hurley v has inspected the engine of “The Spirit of Australia” and begins his ocean flight at midnight to-night. AH-is well with the crew, Captain Hurley's narrative of the flight across Central Australia includes a passage:— “It has ever been my ambition to see and know something of the hidden heart of Australia. Now I have seen a track eighty miles wide on either side of our twentytwo hundred mile course. 1 honestly say I am bitterly disappointed.
