The motor boat reliability race at Rose Bay over fifty miles for the de Chair Cup was won by “Miss Hall” at a speed of 26.6 miles per hour. The race was full of sensations. The Miss Hall lost a pin from the steering gear, but Cleverly handled, the craft managed to find the ■' winning markline. The “Theodora and Three Fives” lost its exhaust pipe and ran out of petrol when in a good position. The skipper- came in. replenished his tank and resumed the race, finishing third behind the outboarder “800 Sada.”
