A large deal m debentures lias been made privately by one man in Christchurch, with the Christchurch Drainage Board. In one parcel he has bought £50,000 worth of debentures for the'board’s big sewerage loan, for which authority has been obtained. At the same time another big parcel cf debentures, over' £20,000 worth, has been bought, lint not by one man. The interest rate on the debentures is Si per cent. . '
