(Special To The Times). WELLINGTON, Oct. 31Much criticism ; of the New Zealand. Lawn; Tennis Association has emanated .from'country , centres for its failure to send the visiting English team to. any of the country districts and give them the opportunity of seeing first-class players .in action. . .; >. , In answer to this it is pointed out that in the present instance -the New Zealand Association could not afford to. lose money. In order to obtain the. visit the controlling body had to contract with the Lawn Tennis Association,. oi London, to hand over 30, per cent of the gross proceeds from the matches played in N.Z.
