POLICE GUARD NEEDED

Mr -Tom Walsh entered upon his duties ' to-day as general secretary 6* the Seamen’s Union of Australia. No attempt was made to obstruct him, but his reception by minor officials was frigid. Seamen called out across the road to Mr Walsh: “I’ll get you yet/’ Mr Walsh found the office books had all disappeared to the branch office, H«« informed Mr Fleming, branch secretary, that .ho intended to have them brought hack to headquarters. Mr Fleming denied shifting the books to the branch office., (Received Nov. 1, 12.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 31 Later in the afternoon Mr Walsh was compelled to seek a police guard of two detectives and one uniformed constable.
