P'-i'.gq Association- 1 WELLINGTON, Oct. 80. i The Dominion Meteorologist’s summon* and forecast- is as follows: An extensive cyclone has inovea on to New Zoaland and is now centred over the middle portion of the North Island. An anti-cyclone is still situated over eastern' Australia, with its centre off Tasmania. Moderate to strong winds of gale force, at places, with a westerly hacking to southerly north of Kawlna and Gisborne, and south-easterly to southerly thence southwards; seas heavy between East Cape and Aharon, and c.sewhcre rough in New Zealand waters. The weather will be cold and unsettled, with general rains and further heavy falls at places m the North Island and on the east coast of the South, north from Tiimaru, but only scattered in Westland and Otago. Conditions are likely to improve shortly.
