PRISONERS FOR SENTENCE y. (Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 29. Prisoners sentenced by Mr. Jus-, lice Ostler to-day were: Kenneth Jack Fryer, 19, breaking and entering and theft at Hawera, two years’ Borstal detention; a prisoner, aged 19, whose name was suppressed, two, years’ probation for forging lu's father’s name to a cheque; Paul Ludwig Ernc-st Franck. 43, indecent assault on a male at Palmerston North, four years’ hard labor; Edward Bush, 24, carnal knowledge at Wellington, four charges, six months’ hard labor; a tailoress. whose name was suppressed, one year’s probation for theft. -.- . (Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Oct. 29. The following prisoners were sentenced: Clarence Wilfred Dudley, 39, a married man. 18 months’ refiormative detention for indecently assaulting a young girl; Charles Campbell, Edmond George Ludwig, and Ronald Francis Montgomery, breaking and entering by night with intent, ordered to pay costs of prosecution, take out prohibition order and come up for sentence if called on within 12 months. In the case of Bertie Williams, who pleaded guilty in : the Lower Court to indecently assaulting a male, counsel asked that the 'plea he reversed to one of not guilty, under the Mental Defectives Act. Tlie application was granted and the accused will now go for trial.’ DRUNKEN MOTORIST PUNISHED .... . . Vrem Association.> PALMERSTON N., Oct, 29. Frederick William Dorn, of Kairanga, a farmer, as fined £lO in the Palmerston North Magistrate's Court this morning and his ' license was endorsed for being drunk while in charge of a motor lorry.
