LOIS MORAN IN “LOVE HUNGRY.”
FOX COMEDY SPECIAL.
“Love Hungry,” Victor Heerman’s second comedy-drama for Fox Films, which features Lois Moran and Lawrence Gray, will he shown at the Majestic to-night. It is a modern story of a New York girl. In this production Miss Moran, as Joan Robinson, is a chorus girl who has her own ideas about love and the attendant responsibilities. When she meets Tom Harvey, played by Lawrence Gray, Joan*is first amused and then somewhat nettled when she finds hm, in his capacity as a writer, handing out advice through his column in a newspaper to young men and women to get married. This, according to Joan, is tame advice to give would-be bridegrooms i verging on bankruptcy. But Tom thinks he is right, inasmuch as he is already in love with the vivacious chorus girl,, and he decides he will leave nothing undone in his efforts to prove to Joan that the married state is the only state. In the ensuing sequences which move rapidly toward a satisfactory but'altogether surprising, climax, Joan undergoes some of! the most thrilling experiences of her young life. There is. a strong sunporting cast, headed by 1 . Edvthe Chapman and James .Neill.' John Patrick is cast as the menace. Marjorie Beebe, one of the. most popular comediennes in Hollywood; is seen with, Miss Moran as . an , energetic chorus girl friend. A choice programme of Fox supports, including “Daddy Goes Agrunting,” tworeel comedy; “Off Shore Trails’ , Variety; and Fox News Gazette will be screened. Box plan at. Tattersa.ll and BaylyV . . v ;
