The Captain Cook bicentenary was marked by.a great gathering in Hyde Park, centred upon the Cook statue. A naval party and scouts participated: The- speakers included the Lieut.Governor, Sir William Cullen, the Chief. Justice, Mr. It. W. Street, the A tto me y-G dn era Is, Mr. F. S. ‘Boyce and Sir Joseph Camtthers.
