The difficult working conditions prevailing at the approaches and ramps of Nos. 2 and 3 sheds on the Kaiti side were complained of by the TT.S.S. Coy., the G.S.F.M. and M. Coy. and Richardson Coy... to the Harbor Board yesterday. .Under present conditions, the .firms stated, labor .had difficulty in neogtiating the incline with reduced truck, loads dui’r ing fine weather, and in showery weather trucks were practically impossible owing .to slipping. It would bo readily seen that the handling of cairgo was very much handicapped as well as being more expensive and tlie prompt despatch of steamers was jeopardised.
