MAJESTIC THEATRE

VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES,

“PALS IN PARADTSE.” “LIGHTNING RIDER” AND “VULININI.”

. Vaudeville and pictures will continue Jit tho Majestic to-dav, when at both the matinee and night screenings there will be presented a triplefeature bill of unusual brilliance, comprising “Pals in Paradise,” and “The Lightning Rider,” two oustanding attraction, and “Vulinini,” the celebrated vaudeville artist who will present his unique and popular entertainment of magic, mirth', mystery and conjuring. “The Lightning Rider” features Harry Carey and Virginia Brown Faire, Marvellous horsemanship—thrilling rescues—red blood—popping bullets! It has all these, to bo sure, but in addition it has an equally emphasised strain of mystery and romance which will satisfy the most ardent of the feminine theatre-goers. Miss Faire’s role in “The Lightning Rider” fe that of an impulsive, fearless girl, child of a Spanish father and a Celtic mother, and combining their variant qualities in a striking personality. Far from the well worn path of conventions; far from the cut and dried feature production; ultra modern in every respect is “Pals in Paradise,” starring Marguerite do la Motte and John Bowers. Peter B. Kyne deserted the well-beaten paths in writing “Pais in Paradise,” and has brought to his readers a new West—the West of to-day. “Pals in Paradise” bring to light the modern mining town brought to notice through a new gold discovery. With the news comes the rush of soldiers of fortune, real estate agents, etc. And though it is a most modern version of frontier life in a new mining town, there are thrills, humor and sentiment aplenty. / . - “Vulinini,” who brings his Gisborne season to a close, will present a verv bright and varied programme of magic, paper- tearing, mystery and card manipulation.
