United Press Assn, by El. Tel. Cop* .’igbl Australian Press Assn—United Service LONDON. Oct .24. When the question of "synthetic cream was raised at the meeting of the British Dairy Farmers Association, Lord Bledisloe. who presided, said there was also ‘ a palatable substitute being used on long-dist-ance ocean liners under the name of milk. It was made bv means or emulsifier from' Argentine butter and New Zealand milk powder, and was also being used in certain .cities. I do not know how this movement is going to develop, hut it must be clear to everybody that the ultimate danger from ‘ this' fluid as a competitor with the British, dairy farmer is most serious indeed. ' * He added that at least it should be called what it -a product comimr from tlie combined effort of Argentine and New Zealand cows, plus a machine. It ought not to bo retailed as dairy milk.
