PRINCES’ TOUR.
GENERAL TROTTER ILL. RELIEF PARTY’S TROUBLES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. Oct. 24 General Trotter, groom-ui-waiting to the Prince- of Wales, who was accompanying the Prince on his tour of East Africa, has had to leave the ”rinec owing to acute heart trout'e. General Trotter had a sudden attack and collapsed in a river boat at Lugard. while the party were crossing Lake Albert, The prince ordered a message to be sent the quickest possible way to Government House at Entebbe, and to Kampala for medical supplies. _ Fortunately an Indian telegraphist was working on the telegraph line close by and the prince ordered him to tap the wire and get a message through without delay. The message was delivered successfully, and a relief party was immediately organised at Kampala. Everything which might be required, including a surgeon, physician and nurses, was packed into cars and rushed off on the 200 miles journey to Butiaba, the neatest point to the royal party, which could bo reached by road. Tlia distance was, covered in iusfc over six hours, which was a record for the journey. When the relief party reached the royal camp they iound the Prince sitting with Genera] Trotter and the immediate danger had been passed. The prince had watched over the patient during ilio night. General Trotter, however, was considered too ill to continue the journey, and was sent back slowly to Entebbe.
