N.Z. FORESTRY SCHOOLS. COMMISSION’S REPORT ' • < O’rcßß Association.’ WELLINGTON, Oct. 25. The Forestry Commission which lias just toured the Dominion, reports adversely oil the existence of two schools of forestry, and is of the opinion that the resources, both iin* uncial and teaching, of Auckland and Canterbury University Colleges in this connection should he concentrated at one centre, if an agreement cannot ho reached, which it should be, then the committee is of opinion that a forestry school should he established at some neutral point, in which case Palmerston North would be worth consideration. The committee does not consider the associates course of much value to the Dominion, and recommends its abolition. Ranger classes should be separate from degree classes.
