VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES. “HERO FOR. A NIGHT’’ AND “VULININI.” Celebrity vaudeville and pictures should attract a capacity house to the .Majestic Theatre to-night, when the celebrated “Vulinini” vaudeville artist of great renown as a magician and conjujrer, will make his first appearance in Gisborne, whilst- the Universal comedy special Hero for a Night” will be presented. “A Hero for a Night,” Universal production, features Glenn Tryon with Patsy Miller in the main supporting role. The picture has been acclaimed one of the most laughable farce comedies of the year and deals with the efforts of a correspondence school aviator io fly across the Atlantic Ocean. IJe dobs eventually, but- not when he intends to and not before, he has enough thrilling experiences to keep hi,m awake for months. Glenn Tryon, Universal’ new comedy star, is the aviator and Patsy Ruth Miller, as the girl in the case, gives the finest performance of her'career. Vulinini comes to Gisborne heralded by splendid press notices, and'is described as a master magician.; card manipulator, and splendid juggler, Til all cities he has amazed vast audiences by his clever conjuring and juggling .tricks.. One of Vulinini’s tricks is the threading of a number of needles whilst both thread and needles are in the mouth. The needles actually pass through the cheeks. Some amazing balancing feats, and tea.ring papers into wondrous patterns are also deeply interesting. This artist should prove docided'v popular in G : sborne.
