A moderate anti-cyclone is situated over eastern Australia. Strong northerly winds of gale forcei at many places, backing to southerlies shortly; seas becoming heavy on the west coast and south of Castiepoint. elsewhere rough in New Zealand waters. Strong northerly winds to gales backing to southerlies soon in the eastern Tasman, with generally rough to heavy seas. Weather cloudy, unsettled and boisterous, with general rain, and many heavy falls. Thunder probable at places, and some snow on the highlands in: the South Island. A cold •map can he expected, hut afterwards . onditions improving.
