(Press Association.;
CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. ,23. “The present application is, simply made as a device for spinning out the litigation until Wright lias ruined everybody including himself. It is ail obsession with the man to keep the case going, and it is quite time some observations were made.” These remarks were made by Mr A. T. Donnelly, barrister, when a further stage 'of the now famous AVright-Morgan case came before Air Justice Adams at- the Supreme Court to-day,, when D. G., AVrigbt asked leave to go past, the Appeal Court straight to the Privy Council, with ■us appeal from the decision S’?' AT.e Full C ! °urt in dismissing a summons relative to the assessing of accounts ill the estate. The question at- issue was whether Douglas AYright as tenant of the lands in the estate should pay land tax or whether the trustees should pay it. Air T. D. Sargent, counsel for Wright, took strong exception to Mr Donnelly’s remarks. Pie said the decision in the case meant £20,000 to Wright and surely he should be allowed to bring such an important matter before the Court, The application was refused, with costs against AYright.
