The tody of Bessie Worthington, 2b, was found 1 this morning in a cot-tao-e at Thornbury. Her husband, Harry Worthington, 33. was nearby, with bis' throat fearfully gashed. He is in a critical condition and is unlikely to recover. ~lt is understood that he told the police that another man had stolen his wife from him. though they bad been only married five months. The womans mother was in the house and witnessed the incidents connected with the trarredy, which caused her collapse. It ts slated that Worthington, who was a volunteer wharf laborer, struck his wife on the head witli a hammer and then cut her throat and his own.
