A quiet but very pretty weeding was solemnised at (the "Methodist Church, Gisborne, when Ada Margaret, daughter of Air. and Mrs. J. Goodwin, of Riverside road, was married to Thomas de B. Martin, youngest son of the late Mr. Martin, and Airs. E. Martin, of “Wellmount Lodge” County Sligo, Ireland. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Geo. Frost.

The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, made a charming picture iti her frock or ivory crepe de chine and silver lace. The beautiful old veil (formerly worn by her mother) was daintily arranged under a quaint trellised coronet of tiny orange blossoms, and fell to form a train. She wore silver shoes, and carried a sheaf ol arum lilies. The bride was attended by her sister Mrs. L. W. Murphy, as matron of honor, and by Miss Dorothy le Marquand, as bridesmaid. The former was attired in a becoming toilette of rose beige crepe de chine, ana wide lArimmed crinoline hat to tone. Mis s Dorothy de Mnrcjuand was prettily frocked in biscuit-shaded crepe de chine and lace. She wore a pretty hat to match her frock, with wide brim of tulle, and flat shaded flowers round the crown. Pretty bouquets of sweet peas, pink daisies and fern, with ribbon streamers to match their frocks, wore carried by both the "matron of honor and the bridesmaid. Mr. J. Martin, brother of the bridegroom was the best. man. After the ceremony the bridal party was entertained at the residence of Mrs. P. Lee, of Norman road. Later in the afternoon the newly-married couple left by service car for Wellington, where they embark for a six months’ tour of Ireland. The bride’s travelling attire was a. frock of navy repp, with pleated skirt relieved with narrow bands of red, navy coat.of silver-grey fur. closely-fitting hat of beige, and .shoes and stockings to match. DODSON—BKYANT. A pretty wedding was solemnised on October 10 at All Saints’ Church, Matamata, (says the Waikato Tillies) when Dorothy Snowdon, only daughter of Mrs. G. H. Bryant, of Ealing, London; and the late Major Brvnnt. R.E., was married to Henry Francis Dodson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Dodson, of Gisborne, The bride, who was given away by her mother, wore a simple white crepe de chine frqck, with the customary veil and ’orange blossoms, and white crone do chine frock, with the customary veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet, of lilies. Miss Barbara < Betty) Briscoe was bridesmaid, and lie wore a frock of oau do nil erepe 'de,- chine, with mauve riHbon and gloves. I for bouquet was primroses and violets. Mr Martin Dodson, brother of the bridegroom, carried out the duties.of best m,an. and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. W. Turner. The local troops of the Girl Grades and Brownies, of which the bride was captain, formed a guard of honor A reception was subsequentlv h-irt at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Hylton Briscoe. “The Towers.” when the usual toasts were honored. Among those present were Mes-: dames Bruce, ?eh., C. E. Barry. J. \y. Simpson. T. Browse. O. W. Turner, Howes, Misses Beth Clarice (London). P.hltridge. North,. P. Duxford, J. Dunbar, and M„ Simpson. After the honeymoon Mr. and Mrs: Dodson will take up their residence at AVaipa Estate, Putaruru.
